Our mandates for ADISQ projects
ADISQ is a major player in Quebec’s cultural community. This non-profit association has a lot of influence in the musical and artistic field. One of its functions is to defend the rights of producers. ADISQ also represents professionals in the recording, video and entertainment industry with public authorities. Particularly in regard to the policies in the industry. On the public side, we know this organization from the great annual Gala it has organized since 1979. Several professionals from the Quebec music industry are recognized during this event.
A voting platform for members of the ADISQ Academy
The winners of the ADISQ Gala are determined via a voting system on a dedicated platform. Applications for the Félix category are available on the Académie-ADISQ website.
At Appwapp, we were involved in the design of this site. Here are our mandates in this project:
- The redesign of the voting tool: wireframes, backend, frontend and data architecture
- The work required to meet established standards to ensure the smooth running of the vote
- Synchronization of data from the internal tool to the voting accessible to members
- Optimization of certain manual processes to lighten the team’s workload
The pandemic, a major challenge for the Gala organisers
Health restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic complicated the organization of the 2020 Gala. Attendance, as well as activities, have been limited. The association then decided to broadcast the event live on the Web. Attendees were also treated to a virtual After-Gala hosted by DJ Debbie Tebbs. She has remixed live the biggest hits of the Quebec music industry of the year.
We created the platform dedicated to the live broadcast of the Gala and the After-Gala. We also took care of the zoom support for the pre-gala. Here are our responsibilities in the project:

The ADISQ Launch Pad
Finally, ADISQ recently launched a platform to launch new Quebec artists. They can publish their albums and interact with their fans. Andromeda, Miro, Antoine Lachance and Roby Talbot, for example, were launched via this site. They are also among the first artists to be featured on this portal.
For our part, we have developed this platform, called PalmaresADISQ.ca. Here are our mandates in this context:
